Airsound Evaluation Service
Does your station sound the way you want it to? The way you think it does to your audience? If you’ve ever wanted to benefit from having a pair of objective, experienced ears evaluate your station, then our Airsound Evaluation Service is for you.
I can provide feedback just on certain dayparts or announcers, or your entire station (or a membership drive). As a deliverable you’ll get a detailed written report on what I hear, along with suggestions for improvement. I can also do one-on-one aircheck sessions (via the phone) with any of the announcers who are included. I’ll address the performance of each announcer evaluated, break content, promotions, and overall stationality. A telephone meeting with key members of management to review that report is also an option, so I can explain what I listen for, and the station’s airsound goals.
The fee will be on a sliding scale, depending on how much of your service you want evaluated, and how extensive you want the follow-up to be.
I have been in public radio for 44 years, many of those spent at stations as a program director developing station sound and airstaff (including hundreds of hours of airchecking). I also consulted for stations while President of PRPD, and served as Director of Program Services at NPR.
